Jay grew up in Tomball, Texas, before making his way north to Texas A&M University for his undergraduate studies.  After three years working for a family-owned heavy oilfield truck equipment manufacturer, Jay attended South Texas College of Law.  After graduating in 2008, Jay took a position as an associate attorney with Locke Lord in Houston.  Jay and his wife Jami (Aggie class of 2004) decided they wanted to return to Aggieland to raise their two boys, Cortland and Chance, and Jay joined West, Webb, Allbritton & Gentry in 2014.

Jay is a commercial litigator who draws upon his experience working in his own family business in his representation of clients across the state. He focuses on representing the interests of businesses of all sizes in commercial litigation matters.

In his spare time, Jay enjoys spending time with his boys, BBQing, fishing, or watching whatever sporting event he can find.  He is an elder at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in College Station, Texas.  You can also find Jay “working out some stress” in the wrestling ring, and catch him some weekends wherever Drake Durden is wrestling (which is usually at Lions Pride Sports in Bryan, Texas).
