Represented promoters of $100 million real estate investment fund providing capital in the workforce, student and senior housing space.
Negotiated construction contracts for multimillion-dollar conversion of downtown historical building into residential condominiums.
Assisted with $10 million project to finance acquisition and construction of a solar panel manufacturing facility.
Represented owners of thousands of acres of land in the negotiation of solar leases and solar construction projects.
Negotiated economic development agreement for the construction of a $150 million manufacturing facility and handled the associated real estate closing on the land for the manufacturing facility.
Worked with a team of lenders putting together a $100 million line of credit to a publicly traded home builder.

Bio

Mike Gentry has been an attorney at West, Webb, Allbritton & Gentry since 1985, making significant contributions to commercial real estate and business law. He is Board Certified in Commercial Real Estate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and his practice spans large complex real estate developments, farm and ranch sales and purchases, landlord and tenant lease negotiations, and complex commercial lending transactions.

Mike’s legal expertise is supported by a strong educational background, including a J.D. with honors from the University of Texas and a B.B.A., magna cum laude, from Texas A&M University.

Outside of his legal practice, Mike is deeply involved in his community. Mike has been the chairman of the board of both the Chamber of Commerce and the Brazos Valley Economic Development Corporation, and he was president of the Brazos County Bar Association. Early in his career, he served on both the Zoning Board of Adjustment and the Planning and Zoning Commission for College Station. Amongst his many other community activities, Mike managed the Brazos County 4-H Sportsman’s Club, served on the board of MSC OPAS at Texas A&M, and serves on the Board of Elders at Grace Bible Church. Mike’s commitment to serving his community is a deeply rooted value that has shaped his commitment to providing excellent legal services to his clients.
