Mr. Gentry was born in El Paso, Texas; his father was a career Army officer so his familymoved all over the country, and when he attended Texas A&M he was the Commander of the Corps of Cadets. Mr. Gentry is married to Carolyn F. Gentry; their daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Benjamin Knox, live in Bryan and have one daughter, Gwendolyn; their son and daughter-in-law, Molly and Robby Gentry, live in Houston and have one daughter, Callie. Mr. Gentry enjoys hunting, fishing, and reading.
